What’s “West Coast Soul”? It’s the sound of Big Awesome. They're the island-born duo blending R&B, rock, funk, and groove into something undeniably their own. Fronted by powerhouse pair Doug Towle and Andrea Shannon, this husband-and-wife team brings serious chops and serious fun. Andrea’s voice soars with sweet, soulful clarity while Doug’s husky baritone and virtuosic guitar riffs ground it with grit.

Armed with live looping tech and a whole lot of energy, they build a full-band experience on the spot. Just two people. One giant sound. Get ready to move.

Every weekend from June 14 to September 7, the Summer SkyWalk Music Series transforms Vancouver Island’s most scenic spot into a vibrant gathering place. It’s live music, but it’s also forest trails, skyline views, cold local brews, and George's Famous Chilli shared under summer skies.

With Big Awesome on the plaza, expect good vibes, high energy, and dance-worthy tunes that echo through the trees. Start your evening with a stroll through the treetops and end it with a groove in your step. There’s something for everyone. From adventurous kiddos balancing on the slack line to grown-ups soaking it all in with a local brew in hand.
