This summer, discover art in the making at Malahat SkyWalk.

We’re delighted to welcome Kailee Perret as our June Artist in Residence, bringing her vibrant West Coast paintings to life onsite throughout the month. Based on Vancouver Island, Kailee is known for her bold acrylic works inspired by the forests, shorelines, skies, and natural textures that define this remarkable region.

Guests are invited to stop by the Welcome Centre on Saturdays and Sundays during the month of June to watch Kailee create, learn more about her artistic process, and explore a curated collection of original artwork, fine art prints, and select art-inspired pieces available for purchase.

Kailee’s work is rich in colour, movement, and texture, capturing the beauty of the West Coast with an expressive energy that feels right at home at Malahat SkyWalk. Influenced by the Group of Seven, as well as Emily Carr, Tom Thomson, and E.J. Hughes, her paintings offer a contemporary interpretation of the landscapes we know and love.

Whether you’re an art collector, a creative spirit, or simply curious to see an artist at work, this residency is a chance to experience the connection between nature, place, and creativity in a truly unique setting.
