Featuring special live performances and events, Yoga At New Heights, local food favourites, free shuttle service, extended hours & so much more

MALAHAT, BC (June 3, 2025) - The countdown to summer is on! With temperatures rising and sun-filled days ahead, there’s nothing better than getting outside and exploring Vancouver Island at its best. Malahat SkyWalk tops the list of memorable BC attractions and showcases a unique combination of nature, outdoor adventure, entertainment, and fun. From endless views, an elevated TreeWalk, the 10-storey Spiral Tower, thrilling Adventure Net and Spiral Slide to a new nature trail, selfie swing, cantilevered viewpoint, and local food favourites, it’s no wonder this is a popular year-round attraction for locals and visitors, alike.

Adding to the overall experience, summer brings the heat with even more to see and do. Kicking off on June 14 (Father’s Day weekend) through to September 7, Malahat SkyWalk introduces an exciting line-up of events and activities. This includes new yoga classes with Lab Westshore, expanded programming from The Raptors, bubble fun withThat Bubble Guy, the return of the popular Summer SkyWalk Music Series, Free Victoria Shuttle service, and extended hours. All of this and more is why Malahat SkyWalk is the ultimate summer experience and destination.

New Partnership – Yoga At New Heights with Lab Westshore

Saturdays & Sundays, June 21 - September 7, top of the Spiral Tower - 8 am - 9 am

Malahat SkyWalk is excited to announce a new partnership with Lab Westshore. The popular, local studio and its knowledgeable instructors will now be offering Yoga at New Heights every Saturday and Sunday, beginning June 21 (summer solstice) at the top of the Spiral Tower. The early morning yoga classes will elevate any wellness experience and offer a unique way to flow, move, and connect with nature. With exclusive access to the attraction prior to opening, participants can enjoy the peacefulness of the morning, incredible unobstructed views, and breathe in the fresh ocean air. Limited spots available.

Now Swooping in Five Days a Week - the Raptors, a Birds of Prey Interactive Display

Every Wednesday to Sunday, June 14 - Aug 31 and the weekend of Sept 6 - 7, Tower Plaza, 9 am - 2 pm

A local favourite, The Raptors are back for another summer season. From Wednesday through Sunday, their interactive educational display will be set up at the Tower Plaza. Visitors can get up close with some of British Columbia’s most awe-inspiring birds of prey, with plenty of chances to meet these incredible creatures face to beak. The Raptors’ team of passionate naturalists will be onsite to share knowledge, answer questions, and offer insight into the lives of these powerful birds. This unique partnership offers an unforgettable experience for families, nature lovers, and anyone exploring Vancouver Island. Included with admission and free for Annual Passholders.

Vibes & Views - Summer SkyWalk Music Series Returns

Saturdays & Sundays - beginning June 14 - September 7, Tower Plaza, 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm

A mix of local artists and singer/songwriters from a variety of genres, takes centre stage with the return of the Summer SkyWalk Music Series. Enjoy live music in a stunning outdoor venue, surrounded by nature, and set against the breathtaking backdrop of Malahat SkyWalk. This summer’s lineup features over a dozen musicians, including An&Ben, Big Awesome, Woodstick, Peter McMaster, Newberry Street, Dos Cabezas, Julie Corrigan, and more.

The live performances take place at the Tower Plaza, the ultimate gathering place where visitors can sit back and relax in the outdoor dining area or lounge on a hammock built for two - all while enjoying a variety of local food and drinks. Included with admission and free for annual passholders.

Experience the Magic of Bubbles with That Bubble Guy

Saturday & Sundays - June 14 - September 7th (excluding July 5), Tower Plaza - 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

A crowd favourite, Vancouver Island’s, That Bubble Guy will wow audiences every weekend this summer with a fun and impressive display of giant floating masterpieces, some of which can stretch up to 20 feet long. Included with admission and free for annual passholders.

A Taste of Malahat Skywalk + Exclusive Local Food Carts

A visit to Malahat SkyWalk would not be complete without enjoying the signature hot eats and cool treats of the attraction. Gather, be social, and enjoy local food and refreshments - all set amongst the stunning natural setting of the west coast wilderness.

Grill & Chill - The best smash burgers in town will be sizzling on repeat throughout the summer. There will also be gourmet hot dogs (with 20+ toppings), pizza, deluxe sandwiches, and baked goods. Guests can enjoy artisanal coffee and sip on slushies, cool drinks, BC brews, local cocktails, wine, cider, and more.

Twist & Swirl - Two Exclusive Food Carts Only available at Malahat SkyWalk - The attraction now has two exclusive retro Airstream food carts onsite. Not to be missed, the new Happy Camper cart is serving freshly made twisted churros daily while local favourite, Softy’s is swirling up its famous dairy-free soft-serve desserts, only at Malahat SkyWalk.

  • Happy Camper - Newly launched and already a big hit, the Happy Camper cart offers the ultimate treat - fresh, warm, crispy, golden churros, alongside specially brewed Drumroaster coffee, a local Cobblehill favourite. Located outside the Welcome Centre.
  • Softy’s - Currently, its only location, Vancouver Island based, Softy’s is a must have during any visit. Its signature dairy-free, soft-serve desserts can be enjoyed as a cone or sundae in a variety of flavours and are made with all natural local ingredients.

Wildlife Sightings - Spot a Creature or Two…

From birds, frogs, and critters to maybe catching a glimpse of Luke, the resident sasquatch, there is always the chance of a wildlife sighting in the summer at Malahat SkyWalk.

Throughout the attraction, visitors will also be able to spot wildlife art sculptures, created with driftwood and other natural materials by Vancouver Island eco-artist, Tanya Bub. At the beginning of the experience, guests will be greeted by a bear and cougar family. There is also an owl and sea wolves that are placed in the surrounding forest and a stunning eagle, perched at the very top of the Spiral Tower. One of the newest art pieces, is a seven-foot driftwood Sasquatch, who is always ready for a photo op at the Tower Plaza.

Take a Walk in the Wild through Luke’s Lane - a Newly Enhanced Nature Trail

Malahat SkyWalk’s newest nature trail, Luke’s Lane (dedicated to its resident Sasquatch mascot), now offers a fully interactive experience from beginning to end. The gentle hike is 800 m (2,600 ft) long and winds through the arbutus and Douglas-fir forest, allowing visitors to explore even more of the attraction’s natural surroundings. Children and adults can help Luke find all his forest friends, hidden deep in the wilderness. Fun prizes are available for those who complete the trail and find all the animals.

No car, no problem - Free (return) Victoria Shuttle Service Offered All Season Long

Available now until October 12 with a varied schedule

Visitors and locals can now get a free lift to the attraction throughout the summer and into early fall. Offering a varied schedule from now until October 12, Malahat SkyWalk is providing a free return shuttle service to and from downtown Victoria, multiple times a day during the following:

  • Now until June 22 - Saturdays and Sundays only
  • June 28 - Sept 1 - seven days a week, including holidays
  • September 6 - October 12 - Saturdays and Sundays only

Go Early, Stay Late - Extended Summer Hours

To take advantage of all that Malahat SkyWalk has to offer during the summer, the attraction has extended its hours.

  • May 15 - August 31 (Monday, Wednesday) – 9 am – 6 pm, (Thursday, Sunday) – 9 am - 7:30 pm.
  • September 1 - September 14 – 9 am - 6 pm
  • September 15 - October 13 – 9 am - 5 pm
