MALAHAT SKYWALK LAUNCHES SKYWALK BREWFEST, BRINGING VANCOUVER ISLAND CRAFT BEER AND CIDER TO NEW HEIGHTS

MALAHAT, B.C. — September 11, 2026 — This fall, Vancouver Island’s craft beverage community is taking the high road. Malahat SkyWalk will host its inaugural SkyWalk Brewfest: A Craft Beer & Cider Festival on Saturday, October 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The new event will bring together 10 Island breweries and cideries for an afternoon of tastings, music, food, and fall programming in the outdoor setting of Tower Plaza.

- Hoyne Brewing
- Merridale Cidery & Distillery
- Red Arrow Brewing
- Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse
- Brass Monkey Brewing & Taproom
- Driftwood Brewery
- Serious Brewing Company
- Ace Brewing Company
Each producer will offer a great selection, giving guests more than 30 craft beverages to discover, including non-alcoholic options.
“Vancouver Island has an exceptional craft beer and cider community, and SkyWalk Brewfest gives us an opportunity to bring some of those makers together in a setting that feels distinctly connected to the Island,” said Jadrian Berkan, Brand and Marketing Manager at Malahat SkyWalk. “We wanted to create more than a traditional tasting event. This is an afternoon built around local flavour, outdoor connection, creativity, and the full SkyWalk experience at one of the most beautiful times of year.”
Guests aged 19 and older can purchase a SkyWalk Brewfest wristband for $20 after entering Malahat SkyWalk with regular admission or an Annual Membership Pass. Each wristband includes four tasting tokens, with one token redeemable for one 3 oz sample. Additional tokens will be available for $2 each.
Music, Trivia, and Fall Programming
DJ Island Rob will perform throughout the event, playing lo-fi beats and laid-back house music from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. He will also host two rounds of Music Trivia at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Transportation from Both Sides of the Malahat
Return transportation packages are available from Victoria and Cowichan for $89.95 plus tax. Each package includes:
- Return shuttle transportation
- Malahat SkyWalk admission
- One SkyWalk Brewfest wristband
- Four tasting tokens
Space on the shuttles is limited, and advance booking is required.
