Riopelle Dialogues: Encounters with Riopelle’s Oeuvre from Coast to Coast
Join us as we (re)discover the work of Canadian painter Jean Paul Riopelle through Vancouver Island-based artists Laura-Beth McDonald and Juan Ramirez's project Automatic Landscapes: Exploring the Art of Jean Paul Riopelle through AI. The Malahat SkyWalk is proud to exclusively showcase this inspired and unique artwork in British Columbia.
Initiated by the Jean Paul Riopelle Foundation and in collaboration with the Department of Canadian Heritage and Culture pour tous, Riopelle Dialogues celebrates the 100th anniversary of Jean Paul Riopelle. The ambitious Canada-wide program features artists from coast-to-coast, showcasing nine cultural mediation projects for Canadians of all ages to discover or rediscover the world-renowned artist’s oeuvre and legacy.
Enjoy this exhibit throughout the Malahat SkyWalk site. You will encounter inspired work while you wander through the Gathering Place, stroll among giants on the TreeWalk, and take in the views from the Spiral Tower. Exhibit included with the price of admission.
